Cats under the light

For our lighting condition photography plate, I chose to use my little kitties for 2 of the conditions, Chiaroscuro (candlelight) and LED.

I thought I’d bring out the natural mysterious characteristics of felines using lighting condition that would match well with the effects of different lighting, light always give that mysterious effect depending on what you use and how you use them.

My personal favourite lighting effect is Chiaroscuro; I love the strong contrast of dark and light to this type of lighting. I was inspired by the old paintings that used this type of lighting; the disregard to color rather the focus on the tone and shadows created with the play of light, adds to the intensity of feel in chiaroscuro.

Next one is Lighting with LED, I used an LED round for this one with all the lights closed. My cat was on a dark glass table (yes, our dining table) on this shoot.

Crooked

I'll have all my lighting condition shots in a separate blog post. That's it for now :)

BTW, I decided to remove the watermark on my photos for now cause I didn't like how it looks, just don't use them without my consent.

Ever Bilena Concealer Stick Review

Hi guys! this is gonna be my very first makeup review. For my very first makeup review I wanted to feature a local product, I chose the brand Ever Bilena because every Filipina knows this brand, its probably the most famous local brand.

Today I'll be reviewing Ever Bilena's Concealer Stick. Last week I went shopping with my best friend for cosmetics and stopped by the Ever Bilena counter. I wanted to pick up a concealer since I already finished my Ever Bilena Advanced Studio Finish Stick Foundation. When I first saw the packaging I immediately thought that it was the perfect size for my makeup bag, it was small and compact.

I'm in the shade Medium

They didn't have testers in the counter so I just chose the shade Medium to be safe. Fortunately it was the right shade for me.

Swatch

I honestly had high expectations from this product since I like most of EB's face products. unfortunately this disappointed me.
The coverage of this concealer was quite poor. I have foundations with better coverage. It did not cover my dark under eye circles nor my blemishes.
I wouldn't be so harsh on it if it was a foundation, but considering it is in fact a concealer I expected some coverage power from it.

Next thing I hate about it is the scent. SERIOUSLY! what did they put in this thing? it smells like those cooling ointments, when I first smelled it I thought it would have that cooling effect, unfortunately it doesn't. I just couldn't stand the scent of this. You could actually smell it whilst applying it.

OVERALL

PROS
-Affordable (150php)
-Creamy
-Easy to blend
-Sturdy packaging
-Small and compact, fits perfectly in makeup bags
CONS
-It tends to go cakey on oily skin
-poor staying power
-creases under my eyes
-lightens my dark circles, but definitely not conceal them
-overbearing scent

The pros equals the amount of the cons, however the weight of the cons, for me atleast, is far more greater.

I'd give this a 2/5 points
❤️‍❤️‍
Would I repurchase this product? I doubt that I would.

ANDROMEDA!!!

My blockmate asked me to pair up with him on this plate, I didnt mind, I mean he was probably one of my favourite people in the block, not to mention he's gay. So probably he'll have tons of fabulous ideas!
makeup by yours truly :)

We were tasked to create a movie poster of any genre. I looked up for a fierce photo of a catwoman cosplay. It was of a girl donned in a catwoman costume squatting with one of her legs stretched out,  a top a building over looking the skyline. As soon a he saw my inspiration picture we both fell in love with the concept of fierce and powerful.
hence Andromeda warriors!

A little background on how we decided on the theme and the title of the movie poster we did.
not many knows about this but I'm actually a huge DC fan, I use to watch Teen Titans and Justice League a lot growing up and recently I've been really in to the Red hood and the outlaws (which I may say heavily inspired the outcome). So naturally I wanted to do something related to the heroes of DCu and my favourite female character happened to be starfire aka Koriand'r, The alien princess of joy. Of course I wanted to be an alien, an all powerful and fierce alien.
Red hood and the outlaws
Starfire

As for my partner, I remember during our first year of college I saw him drew starfire for one of our plates(I drew spiderwoan, though I'm not really into Marvel I decided she was pretty easy to do), right then and there I knew he was fabulous. At first we were going for a The joker and Harley Quinn type of pairing. but we had to be original with the characters. plus joker and Harley are lovers....that would be pretty awkward to do...
So we both settled being warriors, alien warriors defending our planet, Andromeda...
why Andromeda you asked??
simple, we were looking for galactic names that sounds fierce, and we both fell in love with andromeda... simple as that.
I mean it is a pretty fierce name don't you think?
hehehe

As for the editing...this was probably my first time doing photo-manipulation!!! I was experimenting the sh*t out of our plate... there was so much I didnt know about photoshop it hurt my brain!
our prof just taught us the basics of photoshop like literally the pentool, the lasso, the liquify and the hue and saturation thingy....

anyways I also edited a solo...
cause I think it'll look good as a solo :P

Sports Photography

So this marks my very first post...
I'm pretty new to photography, I just started studying it in school this semester and so far i just wanna share my sports photographs since this is my favourite photoshoot so far.
Honestly, I kinda hesitated in posting this cause, number 1, i dont think their good enough
and number 2, watermarking them is very tedious.
but nevertheless I decided on sharing them, so here they are.

Judging by my choice of sport, I am in fact a water lover...I'd like to think I was a mermaid in my previous life ;)...though my swimming skills wont qualify me to be one :P

anyways... so here is my first take on sports photography, I hope to further improve in the future.

Disclaimer, I dont really know who these dudes are.
